Call for Papers

ACM SIGCOMM 2003 - A Data Communication Festival

We invite papers that are about communications systems, whether imagined, architected, built, measured, analyzed or simulated and comprehended.

We have no preferred topics with in the broad range of potential topics from policy and operations and through information coding and transmission. Papers might be a detailed exploration of a well travelled path, or shed light on the boundary between two or more areas. Papers might present cross-cutting design princples, report on practice, or prove new properties for networked systems. Papers on infrastructures or methods that enable new research are also welcome.

We invite full papers, position papers, posters, workshops proposals, and tutorial proposals. Please visit the paper submission page for further information.

Full Papers

Full papers are no more than 14 pages long and present original, reproducible results.

Position Papers

Position papers are no more than 8 pages long and present preliminary work rich in implications for future research. There is a guidance for authors of positions papers available.

Posters

Posters are one 30" x 40" page long, and present ongoing work. Student submissions will be favored.

Tutorials

Tutorials are not subject to public solicitation. Tutorial proposal form.

Workshops

Workshop proposals that help to develop emerging topics or foster new communities are encouraged. Proposals will be considered separately and should be sent to Craig Partridge (craig@bbn.com). Miscellaneous

There will also be a Student Paper Award, Student Travel Grants, and a SIGCOMM Award recognizing lifetime contributions. Contact Karen R. Sollins (sollins@lcs.mit.edu) to nominate a candidate for the SIGCOMM Award.
