Once the information is sent, ACM expects to issue the letter within a week. Please note that ACM does not issue formal "letters of invitation" to any of its conferences, only Visa Support Letters describing the conference and your relation to it (e.g., author, travel grant recipient).
If you need an official "letter of invitation" for your visa application, please contact the General Chair of IMC 2014 no later than August 31, 2014.
Note that ACM is based in New York, NY, USA, while the IMC 2014 conference is taking place in Canada. Depending on your country of origin, you may or may not need a travel visa to enter Canada. However, you may need a US visa if you have a flight connection going through the US. Furthermore, if you are an international student studying in the US, you may need a visa to get back into the US following the conference (unless you already have a multi-entry visa).
It is your responsibility to obtain the necessary travel documents in ample time to attend the conference.
