I suggested that my projections would have a dire effect not only on the
computer/networking industry, but on SIGCOMM itself. Indeed, by 2008,
SIGCOMM '08 (darn Y2K) would need to cater to a "slightly younger crowd".
This slide shows the overview information for the conference venue and
schedule. I started to read it, but by this time the open bar had
hit the audience pretty hard and they pretty much read through it for themselves
and got the idea, so I just let them read and then went to the next slide.
